Decide it all before 'what are we watching?' — the vote, the snacks, the blanket logistics.
| Element | Assigned to | Ready | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Movie picked — family vote or parent veto | Settle it at breakfast, not at 7pm | ||
| Date & time on the calendar | Protect it like a dentist appointment | ||
| Backup movie chosen | For when the first pick isn't streaming anywhere | ||
| Snacks — popcorn plus one treat | Pop the big batch before the previews | ||
| Drinks with lids | Lids are the difference between cozy and carpet cleaner | ||
| Cozy setup — blankets, pillows, floor seats | Everyone builds their own nest as they arrive | ||
| Lights dimmed / string lights on | Kid-assigned job with great power | ||
| Pre-movie activity — hot cocoa, trailer pick | Ten minutes of ceremony makes it an event | ||
| Intermission planned for little viewers | Bathroom + snack refill at the halfway mark | ||
| Dessert or treat after credits | The incentive that keeps everyone in their nests | ||
| Cleanup assignments | Blankets to the bin, cups to the sink, done | ||
| Next movie night claimed | Someone always asks — let them write it down |
